With this tattoo I wanted to pay my respects to my maternal side of the family who’s been in sailing and fishing for centuries, living on a small island located in the northern part of the Gothenburg (Sweden) archipelago. The woman symbolizes my great-grandmother, waiting for her husband to come home from another fishing-tour on North Sea outside of Scotland in the late 1930’s.
